Privacy Policy

Who we are

Arcanum Wilds is developed by Honza Hejtmanek, an independent developer. You can reach us at hejtmi@gmail.com. This policy explains what the Arcanum Wilds iPhone app collects, why we collect it, and the rights you have over your data.

What data we collect

We collect the minimum required to run the game. The categories below match the App Privacy "nutrition label" you'll see on the App Store listing.

  • Identifiers — a player account ID that's generated when you register. If you sign up with an email address, that email is linked to your account. We use this solely to deliver app functionality (saving your discoveries, restoring your collection across devices).
  • Coarse location — your iPhone's GPS, in the foreground only, while you're actively using the app. We use it to spawn AR creatures near you. We never collect location in the background; iOS will show a blue location indicator any time the app reads your position.
  • Product interaction — anonymous analytics on which screens you visit and which features you use, so we can fix friction. Linked to your account but never sold or shared with advertisers.
  • Crash data — diagnostic information when the app crashes, so we can fix the bug. Not linked to your account.

What we do NOT collect

We do not collect health or fitness data, financial information, your contacts, your browsing history, or any "sensitive personal information" as defined under CCPA. We do not collect the content of anything you create or type beyond the account state needed to play the game.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the third-party services we need to operate Arcanum Wilds:

  • Cloud hosting — our own infrastructure at hejtmi.net, used to store your account and creature data.
  • ElevenLabs — generates the voiced lines spoken by your wizard guide. We send only the script text, never your personal data.
  • Worldlabs / Marble — generates the AI habitats inside your Vault. We send only the prompt text you choose, never your personal data.

We do not share data with ad networks. We do not sell data to data brokers. We do not use third-party tracking SDKs.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data for the lifetime of your account. If you delete your account from inside the app, we remove all personal data associated with it within 30 days. Anonymous, aggregate analytics that have already been de-linked from your account may persist longer.

Your rights

Under the GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and similar laws elsewhere, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct anything inaccurate.
  • Delete your data (either via the in-app delete button or by emailing us).
  • Receive a portable copy of your data.
  • Object to processing, where applicable.

Children's privacy

Arcanum Wilds is rated 12+. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we collect or use data, we'll update the "Effective" date above and notify you inside the app on your next launch. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
